Community awareness campaign on pregnancy and drug safety under the slogan "Take care of it"

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Tabuk, Dr. Alaa bin Abdullah Bagalagel, and the vice dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for the female section, her Excellence Dr. Sharifa Al-Zahrani, Faculty of Pharmacy held a community awareness campaign on Thursday, 10 Muharram 1440H Pregnancy and Safety (08).
The campaign aimed at raising women's awareness of the physiological and natural changes that occur during pregnancy in its three stages starting from the first month until the ninth month. The effect of these changes on the effectiveness of the medicine and its awareness of the necessary tests and analyzes. Besides, it shed the light on used vitamins and supplements to be addressed at each stage such as iron and calcium And folic acid.
The factors were also defined by the doctor in this case? On the pregnant and fetus such as: vitamin A and its derivatives, and the treatment using herbs and plants.

Patients were also identified by the severity of the risk factors during pregnancy and the drugs to be used or avoided for some chronic diseases during pregnancy, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, headaches, nausea and frequent vomiting, as well as the risk of using certain cosmetics containing some ingredients On the pregnant and fetus such as: vitamin A and its derivatives and lead, and the need to avoid the treatment of herbs and medicinal plants of unknown source because they may contain some effective chemicals that may occur side effects of pregnant women such as abortion or premature birth. During the campaign, a questionnaire was conducted to measure participants' awareness of and understanding of the information
Dr. Amani Al-Shaman, Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecology in Faculty of Medicine, also participated in the campaign to answer medical and surgical consultations with pregnancy.
